Why is alcohol bad for your liver?


Have you thought about the most important organ? The liver before poisoning it with alcohol. Being the largest internal organ. It has a tremendous number of part to function in your body.

It has about five hundred roles to function. Hasn’t it? The most important functions of the liver metabolism, protein synthesis, digestion and detoxification. Although this organ is considered as a detoxifier, it has a number of other functions as well as storing additional glucose. Liver transforms protein, fats and glucose into easily absorbing products.

Alcohol isn’t good for your body. But, it destroy your whole body organs even your liver. Although you expect fun to your mind with alcohol.

When the liver becomes damaged, you will not know until it comes to the chronical level. Continuous use of alcohol can resulting in an irreparable damaged to the liver. Dear friends, the most dreadful incident is that damaged cells of the liver will never regenerate quickly.

Countries consume excessive quantities of alcohol have high rate of liver diseases. A toxin by product f excessive alcohol is acetaldehyde. It causes to damage to the cells of human body.

When you drink alcohol, you have to think your drinking is whether good or bad for your body. Otherwise, you will have to face lots of diseases definitely such as fatty liver. You know from your drinking, one-third goes to the stomach. Rest of two- third goes to the intestine. That amount of alcohol absorbs into the blood stream from there.

When it goes to kidneys, some alcohol is filtered, rest goes to the liver and broken down into acetaldehyde.so, the body knows it is toxic and burned in the liver without breaking fats. Then, the fat is stored in the liver damaging it.

Alcoholic Hepatitis

As said before, acetaldehyde causes damage to liver cells.so, the liver becomes inflamed. Then liver can’t function properly. This is alcoholic hepatitis. Sometimes this may happens to occasional drinkers too. I can say come symptoms about this sickness for your reference. Nausea, Vomiting, Abdominal pain/bleeding, Appetite loss are some of them.

Remember this can be cured, long time therapy is needed.

Please stop drinking alcohol.

Hepatic Encephalopathy

You know, when liver is unable to remove toxin on the blood. It affects to the brain. Then, the brain starts malfunctioning. The result is swelling of the whole body. So the fluid around the lung accumulates and starts loss of appetite. Finally, it will lead to death.

You have rehabilitation programmes for heavy alcoholics. Treatment of alcohol related liver diseases has two aims. You have to get help to stop drinking as first step.

This will help to prevent liver damage and encourage healing. Second one is improving your health of liver, when you have ARDL, you can join to Alcoholic rehabilitation programmes.

These programmes help you to stop drinking on your own. A transplant may be done. If your liver is too scarred by cirrhosis.

If you are an addicted person to alcohol, you have to consult a doctor immediately from an alcoholic rehabilitation centre. Don’t be late and consult before damaging the whole liver.

The liver is that most durable and resilient organ, if it is the first damage due to alcohol, you have a good chance for recovering your liver right away.
